Final Fantasy: Dissidia
Platforms: PSP
Release date: August 25th
Preview: This psp exclusive is about bringing all the big characters of the final fantasy series into one giant arena and letting you fight with them and against them in lightning fast combat. It will have over 20 villains and heroes playable in the final version. The combat tries to replicate the intensity of FF VII Advent children and if you haven't seen that movie it completely the opposite of normal turn based combat. Its mostly all action. On that note, it does have some rpg and customization in its campaign mode, which is played out on a board game type setup where you fight a bunch of enemies in different settings and events. You can buy moves, costumes, items, and a whole bunch of other stuff to pimp out out your favorite characters. Online is kinda unknown, but i'm pretty sure that they will at least have local play. I've already played the demo for hours and I can already say that it's so fucking addicting. It's fighting system is easy to use and hard to master. The controls work smoothly, especially for the psp which is amazing. Each character has unique moves and weaknesses and strengths. It is kinda like the super smash brothers for the psp with more depth and speed, but with kickass Final Final Fantasy characters. Who wouldn't want that.
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Platforms: PS3, Xbox 360, and PC (PS you would need a kick ass rig to play this game
Release Date August 25th
A new batman game and a good one at that. You wanna know why its so good, its not based on a movie and they aren't trying to trick stupid consumers into buying a bad game. O and the gameplay, art design, and graphics are awesome. This game is about the joker being set free in arkham asylum and he sets free all the inmates in the prison/loony bin. Your batman and you just have to the ass of all the well known criminals in the batman series, the joker, harley quinn, poison ivy, killer croc, and i'm sure that they will have more surprises in store. As batman, you use your killer fighting skills, your ninja like moves, and your awesome gadgets to take out your foes. All of these things add up to make a great game with with a high variety of gameplay. The fighting system is easy to use and just looks awesome. The stealth and your gadgets require strategy and skill to use. You usually need to use both of them in when you face armed foes and hostage situations. These stealth parts have to be my favorite part of the game and it truly makes you feel like batman. There is also a detective aspect to the game and its implemented quite easily through the use of your detective vision, which highlights clues, enemies, and objects. I mean it can even see your enemies through walls and read the heart beat of your enemies to see where their mental state is. I played the demo and amongst other things and I must say that this game truly makes you feel like your batman. Everybody wants to have the strength, intelligence, speed, and gadgets of batman and this is the game to fulfill your fantasy.
btw Mark Hamill ,aka the guy who played luke sky walker, contributes the voice for the joker. Awesome!!!!
Madden 2010
Consoles: Every System in present production
Release date: August 14th
It's the time of the year for another madden game and it is gonna sell like hot cakes. Most of the additions that i'm gonna talk about apply to the ps3 and xbox 360 version and I haven't bought a madden since I owned a ps2, but im a video game connoisseur of video games and I know alot. So lets get to the new stuff in the game. The graphics ave gotten better in madden 2010 and they have tried the best they could to make it feel like a sports broadcast. They added refs, ohhhh ahhhhh, crowd reactions, play interactions, and other stuff to make it feel realistic. They also added group tackles, half tackles, and missed tackles. They are essentially trying to make it more like real life football. The biggest addition is that they added online franchise play. Its kinda like fantasy football with all your friends, but you get to play as your team against them online. It sounds like a pretty good madden for a change. I might decide to pick it up for a change.

WTF! News: Fight at a christain concert
When you think of peaceful Christian concerts you don't think about mobs and extreme acts of do you, but in one christian get together fights broke out amongst 3,500 worshipers. 35 or so cops were sent to the scene to break up the fights and even ambulances were called. No one died or anything and most people were not hurt, but the irony of the whole situation is just ridiculous. I wonder if some of the people fighting in the crowd said "the power of Christ compels me!" before punching each other. Maybe they even used their crosses liked swords or declared a crusade on each other. I must say, that would be a pretty awesome sight to see. In the end, these people were thinking exactly about "what would jesus do" and their answer was TO FIGHT!

Good Stuff!
In this vid, the Mythbusters attach rockets to a metal ram and make it go faster than the speed of sound towards a stationary car. The result is AMAZING!

Artist of the Week: Sufjan Stevens
Sufjan Stevens is considered by most music critics as an indie artist with a heavy focus on folk and orchestral music, but in reality Sufjan draws from many influences ,such as techno and rock, and uses his vast knowledge of instruments to create a unique sound. Sometimes you will hear banjos, electric guitars, pianos, and even full orchestras. Most of his stuff is mellow and relaxing, but he occasional makes epic orchestral pieces. Do not expect anything fast paced from him though, except for the electronic music. Some of his songs draw influence from Christianity and it can be pretty damn clear sometimes. The man sure loves his Jesus. He also plans on making an album for every state in the US and he has only made two so far, Illinoise and Michigan. I really doubt that he will finish, but if he does finish it hes gonna be ancient by the time it is done. I would recommend starting with Illinoise because its more mainstream than his other albums and its less folksy than his seven swans cd.
O and by the way its pronounced Sue-f-yan
